Fine Arts Museum of Angers

The incredible Hotel Logis Barrault is the home of the Museum of Fine Arts in Angers. A building located near the historic city of Angers and only a few steps from the cathedral. The white facade of the Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most beautiful in Angers. Its location allows you to take a complete cultural tour of the city. The complex includes the Garden of Fine Arts, All Saints, Gallery of David d'Angers, the municipal library and the university restaurant. The galleries represent a very complete collection of works of art that have been collected for centuries comprising a total area of 7 square kilometers.

The museum has 2,500 square meters dedicated to permanent collections and the remaining 500 to temporary exhibitions. Conferences and other events are also arranged here. The restoration of the building and the creation of new multi-level rooms now offers visitors an open space where you the sizes and changing colors of the works can be seen better. The museum was renovated in 2004, and has become a meeting place for lovers of art and good taste, which can be found in these galleries with their incredible artistic background.

Personally, I think it's too big, but it's fairly quiet and relaxing with very ornate decoration. I especially liked the garden overlooking the boulevard of King René.
