1 review of Glen Ogle

A seven mile valley

Glen Ogle stretches for 7 miles from Lochearnhead to Lix Toll, where the valley becomes Glen Dochart. The river running through the valley is the Ogle Burn, which starts in Lochan Lairig Cheile. From the A85 highway you can see a military road, built in 1749 by Major William Caulfeild, and used by the British army to pacify the Highlands in the Jacobite uprising of 1745. You can also see views of the granite railway bridge, with its twelve arches.
