The Patio Dorado (Golden Lawn) is small compared to the rest of the complex of the Royal Palace; to the actual visitor it is like a stop, like the prelude of everything to come. I can imagine how the visitors of the time must have felt arriving at the Palace and made to pass through this small place before the audience with the Sultan.
