1 review of Handunugoda Shop

Colonial decor

When we visited the tea plantation in Handunugoda, we were taken to the factory shop so they could try to sell us their products. It's kind of a forced sale as the tour is free, but it's better to do that rather than leave directly. At least buy some a bag of tea. The store is nice because it has the colonial decor planting probably had all the time in English. You can try each of the teas produced in Handunugoda, starting with its famous white tea, the most expensive in the world as it costs more than 1,000€ a kilo! The tea cups are ready in the morning and you can try one teaspoon which in my opinion doesnt reflect the overall flavour that well.
