1894 Lighthouse

Heceta Head (it’s pronounced ‘Ha-SEE-ta’) is a restored 1894 lighthouse open to the public along the southern Oregon coast. At 205 feet above the water, its beam blasts 21 miles out to sea and is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the United States. Guided tours are offered during the summer, and there is an on-site bed and breakfast. The state of Oregon maintains a scenic area here with seven miles of trails and a coastline with caves, tidepools, and a sandy beach.
