The Hospedería Hurdes Reales is an oasis of peace. It’s a true luxury establishment perfect for visitors looking for a few days of rest in the countryside.
It’s an undoubtedly good choice. The rooms are enormous, the restaurant is delicious, and the interior pool and surrounding countryside are just wonderful.
It’s definitely a good place to spend a few days relaxing and forgetting about the worries of day to day life in the city.
I have the privilege of having stayed at all the “Hospederías” in Extremadura except the one in Monfragüe. Among all of them, that of Hurdes Reales is perhaps the best-located. It was once the Factoría de Alfonso XIII, a monumental complex whose construction was ordered by the king and which has now been converted in one of the best places to stay in Extremadura.
It’s located in Las Mestas, a farming town near Ladrillar in the Cáceres sub-region of Las Hurdes. It’s dedicated exclusively to tourism and beekeeping.
It’s located at the fork of the Batuecas and Ladrillar Rivers and is only 2 kilometers from the province of Salamanca. It’s also close to the peaks of El Canchón and Perrubio, as well as Mt. Cueto to the south. All of this makes for an incredibly spectacular environment.
