Interactive Center of Science, Arts and Technology, CICAT

Located in Coronel, The CICAT opened in 2010 and is the first Interactive Center to be built in Chile outside the capital. The first was the "MIM" or Mirador Interactive Museum which can be found in Santiago. The CICAT is not as big as the MIM but it´s still very attractive - especially for children. In the eighth region, there are few places like this. When we visited, there were many children visiting from various schools of Coronel, Concepcion and other surrounding areas. It´s great for kids because they can learn about science and technology in a fun and entertaining way. The site has different spaces and there are guides that teach you about different phenomena of nature.
