Quiet family resort
La Floresta is a resort in the district of Canelones, in what is known as the Gold Coast. Basically it's a quiet family resort where the primary activity is centered on the beaches. It has supermarkets, restaurants and a movie theater. It's only 53km from Montevideo. The beaches are large and open, with moderate waves, as it is the Rio de la Plata, although it seems the sea and clean at that point. All my childhood I was on vacation in this town full of trees and at the time thought was the sea.
