Beautiful memories

I was biking through the Yucatan and one of the most beautiful memories I have is when arriving at Bacalar Lagoon after cycling down a rural road outside Chetumal. It's a beautiful natural lake surrounded only by natural barriers like coral and vegetation. There are cabins around the lake where you can stay to enjoy the lake, but it's true that much of the shore is private property. Lagoon of 7 colors

It is a place with calm and shalow blue waters. It has less salt because of the manglar trees. It is a tourist calm place, with comfort and quiet. You will have the chance to live in the Mexican experience from a little lovely town with lovely people and Mexican traditions and history.

There is a Fort with its museum, nice food and very lonely and calm beaches. We took a guided ride to the lagoon which turned out to be a natural delight with snorkeling experience to a cenote within the lagoon. The guides are so very instructed from the town cooperative wich control the prices. In the lagoon are estromatolitos, living antique rocks that produce oxygen.

Bacalar Lagoos left me speechless, but I hope this photo does the place justice. It's an amazing place to visit and one of the best-preserved natural areas in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Unforgettable place

Bacalar Lagoon is an unforgettable place where the colors of the lake seem to bleed into those of the sky. The wealth of nature in the area makes you just want to relax and connect with the Earth.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life.

The colors, the nature, the adventure on the boat... no words are needed to describe this place... you need to live it by yourself!
