Lanquín Village

Lanquin is a village. It's about two and a bit hours from the city of Coban in Guatemala Verapaz. In recent years it has become the place where most of the tourists stay to get to know the magnificent site of Semuc Champey. Before they used to stay in Coban. Lanquín is the best choice. It is only half an hour from Semuc Champey and most hotels offer various tours to enjoy area. Whereas if you stay in Coban, you will have to travel about 3 hours to get to Semuc, which means an early exit from Coban, and a return to the hotel late. Lanquín is accessed directly by minibus or shuttle tour from Flores (Peten), Rio Dulce or Antigua.
