I spent more than a decade on one of the most beautiful islands in Southeast Asia before getting a job managing an idyllic 3-star beach resort, the Lawana Resort. Each bungalow is equipped with all you'll need for your dream holiday. After spending some time working as a guide, I realized that places like Lawana were never recommend to European travelers - instead, they were encouraged to go to the expensive 4 or 5 star hotels, where the welcome can be a bit on the cold side.
