Le Mouillage Port

The port of Saint Pierre is located on the Caribbean Bay, facing the boardwalk and the beach of Santa Ana. It is a small fishing port, formed simply by a pier on the Caribbean Sea, where small local fishing boats dock. There are also some tourist boats with glass bottoms for diving excursions. Early last century, before the destruction of the city by the eruption of Mount Pelee, when St. Pierre was the capital of Martinique, it was an important port with lots of activity and boats and traders from all around the world.
