Best hotel in Malibu
Hotels in Malibu are a bit strange. For such a luxurious city, there are very few that are any good. The Malibu Beach Inn is the best one we found. It's luxurious and well-located...the only complaint I have is about the parking lot. You have to pay $27.00 a night to park there, and parking on the street is virtually impossible. The good side, though, is that when the tide rises, the ocean comes right up to the hotel and you can enjoy the best view from the glass balcony in your room. A lot of people say that there's nothing to do in Malibu and that it's best to stay in Santa Monica. It's true that Santa Monica is much more alive and you can visit a lot of thing on foot, but in Malibu you can step out of your hotel and be directly on the sand.
