Great views
Located in the middle of the desert, between the Mesa Verde and the Grand Canyon, and about 30 miles from Monument Valley National Park, the Mexican Hat is a natural curiosity worth a quick detour. And yes, it's a rocky mass which has been eroded until it looks like a sombrero! You can climb up to the hat and enjoy great views across the valley.
