A place to visit around Medellin is the nearby mountain areas. These include the Eastern Antioquia (Rio Negro, Guarne, the Retiro, the Carmen de Viboral, the Peñol, Guatape) or the northeast region (with dairy farms). The scenery is certainly spectacular, just look at the photos.
