Monument to the Fallen

At the end of Avenue Dos Aliados is a large roundabout (called Largo dos Combatentes Grande Guerra) with a monument to the fallen of the First World War. It's a kind of granite obelisk with a bronze sword, a commemorative plaque and is surrounded by landscaped gardens with small, colorful flowers. It's very close to the Fort of San Francisco and the old train station (now a cultural center).
