Good physical condition is a must
The Murphy Loop is a steep slope, with both the descent and rise causing some problems. It takes about 5 hours to complete, and will take you from the top of the canyon to the riverbed. It is just a path of rocks and stones that you almost have to climb at times, so good physical condition is a must. Don't forget your water, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat!
