Museum of Byzantine Icons and Tradition

The Museo delle icone e della tradizione Byzantine (Cosenza) is an an excellent center representing the Byzantine culture in Calabria. The collection was edited by prof. Gaetano Passarelli, an expert in iconography and a Byzantine history professor. Inside the museum there is a large display of work, showcasing the important iconographic heritage, theological and high cultural value of this time period.
