1 review of Newgate

A magnificent view

This is a bridge that follows the path of the Roman walls that surround Chester. It is a recent construction, having been built in 1938 to ease the traffic, which meant having to break the wall. Declared a National Monument, it was designed in a medieval style and offers a magnificent view across the Roman Gardens.
