Located just inside the city wall, in front of Northgate Street and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Rufus Court is one of the most amazing parts of Chester. The Romans used to have their headquarters in the fields behind Rufus Court, and the Roman wall provides a stunning backdrop for the ancient and modern buildings here, which contain some of the most interesting shops and bars in the city.
