Nuevo Echate Payá Restaurant

This is possibly the most typical bar around El Puerto de Santa María. It's in the centre of the town's tourist street, surrounded by large restaurants which contrast how small it is. I've known about it for many years because it has always been the crowded tapas bar between the other restaurants' terraces. The name came from how difficult it is to get to the bar to order. At this time, June 2009, it's almost open. You can still go to the bar, though the dining rooms are not yet open. This modest place has been converted into a restaurant with dining rooms, but with a tiny bar, possibly to continue the tradition.
