We were going from Chateau-Thierry to Soissons when something caught my eye. It was an American cemetery. Although we had to divert our route without knowing the distance you may have done the same. My curiosity about these site was not morbid but because honestly I love their majesty. They were about 2 or three miles from Fere-en-Tardenois, and occupied an area of ​​over 15 hectares. Here, 6,012 Americans from the First World War are buried. they died along the river Ourcq between this and the river Oise-Aisne in the Marne offensive Marne during July and August 1918, and the Oise-Aisne in August and September of the same year.
