Our Lady of the Nativity Hermitage

2 reviews of Our Lady of the Nativity Hermitage

Located next to the castle

This church is located next to the castle on a hill that overlooks part of Toledo. Its style is Mudejar, early XIII-XIV century, and the only original part is the semicircular apse. The picture worshiped at the altar was originally a Byzantine icon, it depicts St. Anne with the Virgin girl in her arms. The ceiling and walls are reproductions of Visigothic crowns of Guarrazar treasure (found in Guadamur in 1858).
