Phnom Penh Royal Palace

Data del 1.866, consta de tres edificios y es la residencia de los reyes de Camboya, iniciado por el rey Norodom, era una antigua ciudadela. Nuestra llegada coincidía con el cumpleaños del soberano y estaban expuestos los regalos que recibiría en su fiesta, así que en la visita del complejo los pudimos ver. Increíble en un país por lo que aun estaban pasando, ya solo la propia capital necesitaba una buena puesta a punto, claro hablo de años atrás ¡tal vez hoy se hayan ocupado de restaurarla, ojalá! En la Sala del Trono está el "asiento sagrado del juicio final" con el el rostro de Brahma presidiendo el capitel central. Lugar de las bodas reales y eventos oficiales, consta de tres Tronos. En su interior alberga el salón del trono y los bustos de los anteriores reyes Jemeres. Pagada de Plata: Más conocido como "Wat Preah Keo" en cuyo interior están los tesoros nacionales, con estatuas en oro con piedras preciosas; como la del S XVII del "Buda de Esmeralda" en cristal. Y una gran imagen de "Maitreya" con 9.584 diamantes encargada por el rey "Sisowath". Palacio Khemarin: El nombre del "Palacio del Rey" jemer. Todo el recinto esta amurallado y separado del pueblo, en su interior los jardines preciosos, con pabellones y estatuas desbordan de lujo y poder. Llama nuestra atención sus preciosos tejados, con agujas puntiagudas en tonos dorados. Hay zonas que no se visitan, pues vive la familia real en ellas. Complejo de 9 edificios preciosos, en uno de ellos esta la maqueta de los Templos de Angkor. Pabellón Phochami: En pleno centro de los jardines, edificado en 1.912 y se utiliza como salón de baile, así es el lujo en países como Camboya. Pabellón Chanchhya: Visible desde desde las afueras, lugar donde el rey dio los discursos a su pueblo; un rey Norodom, una figura bastante controvertida, un rey que abdicó en 2.004 a favor de su hijo el rey actual. ¡Aquí en el Palacio Real descansan las cenizas de este rey que sobrevivió a los jemeres rojos con mano izquierda! ¡Interesante es también su pabellón museo!

Se encuentra en un recito que alberga varios edificios, residencia oficial del rey Sihamoni incluida, la Pagoda Plateada (Silver Pagoda), y el Museo Nacional (aunque su entrada es independiente), además de varias estupas, templos y jardines que son un remanso de paz en la ajetreada urbe. Fue construido en 1866, y su nombre completo en lengua jemer es Preah Barom Reachea Vaeng Chaktomuk. Todos los edificios y los jardines están generosamente ornamentados con estátuas, nagas, y animales mitologicos varios. Dentro del recinto se encuentra también la Silver Pagoda (Pagoda Plateada), el techo de la cual esta hecho con 5 toneladas de reluciente plata, en forma de "tejas". Podemos descubrir algo de la misma en alguna de las 5000 baldosas de plata que tapizan el suelo, pero la mayoría están cubiertas para su protección y conservacion. En su interior encontramos además, un impresionante Buda de Cristal sentado en lo alto de un pedestal, idéntico al [poi=24189]Buda Esmeralda de Tailandia[/poi]. Y por si fuera poco, otro Buda mas, en oro macizo, que pesa mas de 90kg y esta adornado con 2086 diamantes, el mas grande de ellos es de casi 25 quilates. Lastima que las fotos no estén permitidas en el interior. Lo malo es que al ser residencia oficial del rey, algunas zonas están cerradas al público. La entrada cuesta 25.000 rieles camboyanos. Horario de 9:00 a 18:00. Y mucha atención con la ropa "decente". El cartel está pasada la taquilla, no hacen mucho caso del pantalón por encima de la rodilla (será porque no venden pantalones), más corto ya no lo se. Pero yo iba en tirantes y, como siempre, llevaba mi pañuelo (fulard) para estos casos. Me lo puse y me dijeron que de pañuelo nada, que tenía que llevar manga corta (el pañuelo es igual que una manga larga), así que tenía que comprame una camiseta de las que casualmente!! Venden en la misma entrada. Menos mal que recuperé mi ticket antes que me cortaran la parte correspondiente. Pude ir a mi alojamiento, cambiarme la camiseta y volver. Será por este mal comienzo que perdí la mitad de las fotos :(

Con la misma entrada podéis visitar unos templos religiosos (Estupas) que hay justo al lado, en homenaje a antiguos reyes y reinas ya fallecidos.

Cerca de la entrada están las Oficinas Reales y el Pabellón de Napoleón III regalo del gobernante al rey Norodom. Si vuelves sobre tus pasos hacia la entrada del Palacio, a mano derecha y atravesando el corredor de acceso se llega al recinto de la Pagoda de Plata.

Questo è un viaggio che ho fatto un po'di tempo fa' in Cambogia nella capitale Phnom Penh all'omonimo palazzo reale che senza dubbio è la maggiore attrazione della città .Il palazzo è circondato da grandi e curatissimi giardini,suddiviso in tre zone la pagoda, un padiglione e la sala del trono dove si trovano i busti di alcuni re cambogiani.In passato era luogo dove si riunivano il re e i suoi consiglieri per prendere le loro decisioni mentre oggi invece viene usato per cerimonie religiose...Ah se volete fare foto ai monaci visitatelo la mattina presto poi spariscono.
