6 reviews of Spanish Plaza

Remarkable mosaics

Located at the entrance of the Riverwalk shopping center along the Mississippi, the Spanish Plaza is a small square nestled between the buildings and is a particularly pleasant place to visit. In fact we loved the view it offers of the river flowing peacefully as well as its charming central fountain and its remarkable mosaics. It's an ideal place for a quick lunch in the sun before an afternoon of shopping at the nearby mall.

Plaza de Espana

In the dock on the Mississippi River, at the Riverwalk Marketplace entrance you'll find a beautiful square named after the city of New Orleans by Spain in 1976. There is a large fountain that surrounded by an inlaid bench with colored tiles that represent the shields of each of the provinces of Spain. This is a great place to relax, feel the fountain's spray, people watch, or just watch the river traffic pass by. It's the perfect location to wait for the ferry as you stroll along the Mississippi River. We were actually very surprised to find this place and we walked along the different paths, remembering

Our country.
