Palace bequeathed to the town

Charles Rameau was a rich agronomist and alderman in Lille. His palace was built between 1875 and 1879. With no heir, he bequeathed his palace to the town, with the condition that his palace be mainly used for cultural exhibitions, music festivals and horticulture. The city respects his will. To my the palace means much more, because as a child I went to the celebration that took place in the Lille circus every year in December. As a child I was impressed by the two statues that welcomed visitors, that seemed like anxious beats waiting for flesh.
