In the mainland of the City of Saint Louis, just a little above the bridge, is the mobile food market. Be sure to know that it is actually pretty unpleasant. Even though almost everyone shops there, I think we just weren't accustomed. There are all kinds of food like meat that is exposed to air, right next to others that smells like fish. The smell is so fishy like the remains of fish right after cleaning. There are fruit baskets on the floor, vegetables, nuts ... and a mess, with a mixture of smells, shapes, dust ... It is worth seeing, really, but do not expect anything heavenly or the typical European market.
