The Senegal River

The Senegal River is a river, 1790 km long. The majority of its route travels through West Africa, and forms a natural border between the West African countries Senegal and Mauritania. It is a major commercial axis, in ancient times and in present times, it has and currently served to carry goods from the interior of Africa to the Atlantic Ocean, and then the Mediterranean.
