Sant Bosc Segimon Hermitage

This weekend, making the most of the lovely weather, we went for a drive to see if we could for the hermitage of Sant Feliu de Buixalleu. First we visited Sant Segimon del Bosc, a chapel with a single nave whose first temple on the site dates to the X century and depended on Arbucies, until the XIII century when it changed to Sant Feliu de Buixalleu. The shrine was restored in 1953 and the current building dates from the XVI century and maintains the offset form of the old Roman temple, keeping a nave, semi-circular apse and central belfry.
