Karaoke is a Blast

We have been to several Asian countries and we always get treated well and have a great time. It's hard to choose just one city in Asia, but Seoul is amazing. There are plenty of Korean BBQ restaurants all over the city and they are all good. They bring you raw meat, onion cloves, garlic, tofu, etc and your table is a grill. You cook the food yourself on the grill in front of you and it is a delicious feast to behold. If you have a big group, Karaoke is a blast. There are plenty of these throughout the city. You get a private room where you can drink and sing with your friends. Beer and Soju is pretty cheap in Korea so have fun with that.

Seoul, The Phoenix

In classical Greek mythology, the Phoenix represents immortality. One day, the bird was sunning itself under a clear blue sky – its plumage adored with brilliant streaks of gold and scarlet – when its beauty caught the eye of the Sun who declared it would live forever. Overjoyed, the Phoenix took to the sky and traveled the world. After five hundred years, though, the beautiful bird grew tired and weak and sad. He returned to the mountainside, climbed to the top of the tallest tree and pleaded for the Sun to make him young again. In an instant, the Phoenix burst into a glorious ball of flickering orange light before dissolving into a mound of silver ash. From the heap, sprung the claws, bones and beak of a young chick who like the early morning sun slowly rose from the nothingness. He grew strong. He grew fast. He was reborn. He was rejuvenated. And every five hundred years, he would return to the same spot and the sun would cast him alight and watch him re-emerge, confident and courageous, from his older remains.
