St Augustine’s Abbey

St Augustine’s Abbey

1 review of St Augustine’s Abbey

Well preserved

With a strategic location on the hill of Ramsgate, close to the beautiful Royal Parade and just a few meters from the sea, the Abbey of St Augustine is one of the main sights to see. It is a very well-preserved building, built in 1861 for a brotherhood that had been created five years earlier. It still houses the monks and other clergymen, and is sure to surprise the visitor with its excellent condition and traditional architecture.
