Taller de Alberto Manzanilla

Alberto Manzanillo es Nativo de Boconó y talla la madera desde los 15 anos. Cuenta que cuando se casó (muy joven) se fue a vivir en el Estado Portuguesa, se devolvió decepcionado y sin un centavo, y como a él nunca se le dio lo de sembrar comenzó a darle forma a la madera, algo que era su pasión desde hace muchos años. Hoy en día forma parte de los artistas populares de este municipio del Estado Trujillo, uno de los más reconocidos y premiados. Su labor no la hace sólo, cual grupo familiar de pop de la década del 70 su familia lo acompaña. Y así como si fuera un capítulo de La Familia Partridge a su voz de mando, su esposa, hijas, sobrinas, nueras y hasta nietas comienzan a lijar la madera, tallarla y pintarla, para crear hermosas piezas naif que casi siempre representan a personajes religiosos o históricos venezolanos.
