2 reviews of Kiosco las Carabelas

A lunch time menu will cost you about 10 euros

This kiosk is hidden under huge a ficus centenary, in the Constitution Square. It is situated in the heart of Old San Cristobal, which is very similar to how it was when Christopher Columbus and his crew arrived here all those years ago. The Caravels hark back to those ships that called at La Gomera before leaving for the Americas. They serve breakfast in the morning, you can try the roasted maize meal and island honey, flowers and palm, stronger and darker. At noon there is a Canarian tapas menu, serving wrinkled potatoes, marinated meats, stew .. It is a slightly touristy place but as it is one of the only places with shade, elderly people also come to chat over a coffee.
