The Sphere

In the heart of Battery Park, a short walk from the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, The Sphere is a unique site. It is a metal sculpture that once stood in the middle of a park in the World Trade Center. Following the terrorist attacks, it was badly damaged, and now has been moved to Battery Park, pending the completion of the new WTC memorial. It's a place of intense emotion and meditation.
