A globally recognized brand
The Timberland story began in 1918 in a small shop in Boston, Massachusetts. The founder Nathan Swartz began his career as a shoemaker's apprentice, stitching leather. In 1973, the Timberland name was born. "Timberland" started as the brand name for waterproof leather boots, but between 1978 and 1979, sneakers were added, and today it is a globally recognized brand.
