Candlemas Celebrations
These celebrations are terrific and have been some of the most important in the state for 200 years. Today, the program of activities includes popular concerts by the hottest artists. The festival begins on January 31st and ends on February 9th. It begins with a parade with riders dressed in regional costumes. The next day, six bulls are released into the streets raising the adrenaline of tourists. At night, there are different events, competitions and regional dances. It's a festival of music and joy.
