Torre Argentina

Ampie distese di tufo bianco che si estendono fino a raggiungere un mare cristallino e, tutt'intorno, prati color oro che si alternano ai verdi cespugli di macchia mediterranea. Questo è il contesto ambientale in cui è inserita la Torre Argentina, una delle tante torri di avvistamento distribuite su tutto il territorio costiero sardo. Questa imponente costruzione sovrasta un mare da favola in uno dei tratti più vari della costa bosana. Muovendosi di pochi metri si incontrano scorci e prospettive completamente diverse: "sa codulera", una piccola spiaggia di ciottoli, "su canalone", una insenatura stretta e molto profonda dove si possono osservare banchi di minuscoli pesciolini blu elettrico, la zona cosiddetta "dietro la torre" e "l'isola", raggiungibile con un piccolo tratto da guadare. Quest'ultima è particolarmente interessante per via delle incredibili sculture naturali create dall'azione del vento e dall'acqua sulla tenera roccia tufacea. Gli amanti della mineralogia troveranno particolarmente interessante questa zona caratterizzata da una grande varietà geologica. Una prova di ciò sono le numerose venature di corniola che interrompono di tanto in tanto la roccia chiara. Ad arricchire ulteriormente questo quadro vi segnalo la presenza de "sa domo rutta", una struttura in pietra che un tempo costituiva il punto d'arrivo di una teleferica che la collegava alla vecchia miniera. Un tempo questo posto era raggiungibile soltanto a piedi, dopo una camminata di una quarantina di minuti in mezzo alla natura selvaggia. Da qualche anno questa parte, con grande gioia dei poltroni, è stata sistemata la strada che permette di arrivare con l'auto fino al mare. Questo servizio non è gratuito ma prevede il pagamento di una piccola quota d'accesso.

To further enrich this framework we mark the presence of the "sa dome burps", a stone structure that once was the culmination of a cable car linking it to the old mine.
