1 review of Trekking in National Park. Bukhandan Mount

South Korean National Park

Excellent

Named in 1983, Bukhansan Mountain National Park was the last one to be named of 15 in South Korea. It is 79.9 ㎢, near Seoul National Park, and completely surrounded by urban areas. It's known as the green lung of the city, with over 5 million visitors each year. The park has many granite peaks and gorges with streams of water (or ice when I visited). There are more than 1300 species of flora and fauna here, and the weather can be pretty variable, so be well prepared! There are some heavily exposed areas, and there are areas where you have to raise or lower large granite boulders clinging to ropes or iron railings.
