Glacier Burn Track

The trek towards the Glacier Burn, a peak located near the frozen Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown, starts from the resort of Kinloch Lodge. Once you're on the trail, the ascent is quite straightforward, although sometimes tiring. This isn't a particularly popular trek, so you'll often find yourself in complete solitude, and alone with nature. The entire round trip takes about six hours, depending on your pace. Before you leave, check the weather and bring a sweater even if it is summer.
