The perfect image

I knew that when it came time to write this I would have a clash of feelings. Before going to Bali, many years earlier, the image of the had summarized the vision of this temple floating on the waters of Lake Bratan. An image among rural areas, fueled by travel guides that were obsolete and expired. When I got there, a mini amusement park shook my memory. 1st, a high mountain architecture as if it were in Switzerland, governs and pervades the perimeter of the lake, a parking lot that was so organized which forces you to go through all the souvenir shops and other things , after paying a fee to enter the site by a landscaped garden and attention to detail.

Pura Ulu Danau Bratan Temple

Great

Bratan Lake is situated in the central highlands of Bali, at around 1200 meters above sea level. The temperature in this area is low, and it is often cloudy and there is a lot of moisture, so it is best to go with some warm clothes, but this is what the guides advice, and when I went it was actually quite warm. It was constructed in 1634 in honor of the goddess of water and fertility Dewi Danau. It is a beautiful temple of worship for Hindus and Buddhist, it is one of the most picturesque temples on the island. There are always people making offerings there, as well.

Ulun Danu Temple

Excellent

This Balinese temple located within Lake Bratan, is a marvel. It is dedicated to the Goddess of Water and peasants make a pilgrimage to ask for a good year for their crops. It was one of the visits we made on our honeymoon. Being surrounded by mountains you usually have a lot of fog making it very enigmatic.
