Worth a visit
The historic building of the Federal University of Paran (UFPR) is located at Santos Andrade Square, right in the centre of the city of Curitiba. The area is the most important in the city, and it's worth visiting, as the building is really large and beautiful. UFPR was the first university in Brazil, opened in the year 1912, and the building is still used to show photos of graduations. You'll often see tourists here taking photos, but be careful, as it's a somewhat dangerous city, and robberies are common in this area.
