This hotel has a great location, being central, easy to reach and close to several local attractions like the Rua XV, and the Praca Tiradentes, where the tourist bus starts its journey. They offer great breakfast in the morning, with a wide variety of delicious natural juices. Definitely a good choice!
The Knock Knock Hostel is run by three Argentinians who have been living in the city of Curitiba for a few years. It's a big house, composed of several shared rooms, some of which have a private bathroom. The breakfast is included in the better rooms. The decor is all musical, with vinyl on the wall, and rooms named after dance rhythms like tango and flamenco. It has a barbecue and an open area with hammocks. The hostel provides blankets, bedding, and towels, and offers tango classes. It also has a television room and ping pong!
We were looking for a place to sleep in Curitiba - somewhere comfortable not not too expensive. And we found this hotel in the Slaviero network, Slaviero Suites. It's a well-located hotel, very clean, with good coffee in the morning and wifi. The little apartments come with a mini kitchen and living / dining room. The hotel also offers a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and squash court. A good choice.
This is a very old, traditional hotel in the city of Curitiba. It's a hotel with a theme of Japanese history; at the entrance you can see a koi pond. But inside the bedrooms are quite normal, with nothing really out of the ordinary. The rooms are a regular size, with a large bathroom, as well as cable TV, and a closet. There's a pool and gym, and at breakfast, there's plenty on offer. There's parking available in the lot across the street.
This is a really lovely place, very beautiful - one of the best hostels I've seen anywhere in the world. The building dates back to the 1950's, and everything has been kept in the original style. There are bright colours everywhere, giving it a cheerful touch. Prices vary between R$40 and R$100 per person. The mattresses are comfortable, and they have thick blankets - important in this cold city. Like the rooms, the bathrooms are clean all the time, and colourful. The owners are always around if you need anything. They have breakfast available, and a huge kitchen if you'd rather do your own cooking. There's also a barbecue, laundry facilities, and a pool. The best option for a stay in Curitiba!
Next door to one of the best bars in the city, the Alemo (where guests of the hostel have a great discount!), this is a beautiful building, with wood everywhere. Some old details have been preserved, and the rooms are all very clean, with hot water (important in the cold of Curitiba). This is unique for its Japanese style: small rooms with space for no more than a bed and a small suitcase.
I went backpacking in Curitiba for the first time in July 2012, and I liked it so much that I went back three more times the following year, in February, May, and August. This hostel has a very friendly atmosphere, with different options of dormitories and private rooms, a communal kitchen and garden. It has an excellent location, in one of the most beautiful areas in the whole city. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the owner tends to hold a party every Sunday on the large balcony, with a caipirinha for every guest. I had a great time here, meeting people with fascinating stories to share from all over the world.
The Curitiba Eco Hostel, is the only one of its kind in the city of Curitiba, although it is not very close to the city center, but the distance is worth it. There you will stay in a very large, nice and well maintained rural area, so fresh and completely opposite to the chaos of the city. The hotel is divided into several wooden chalets with options to share or single rooms with private bathroom as well. There is a very large pool, barbecue, separate television room, bar, pool and an incredible atmosphere to relax in. It has a bus that runs past the hotel and takes you to the center, and the lodge itself offers a van every hour to take the guests out. A different and very quiet place to stay in Curitiba!
This hotel is right in the heart of the city, opposite the most famous town square. A lovely place, a traditional meeting point for students and intellectuals. The hotel is part of the European Centre group, with modest decor and cozy rooms, predominantly aimed at families. If you have decided to travel to the capital Paraná and are looking for where to stay in Curitibia, you will find there are a lot of options. The town itself is worth a visit for its lively atmosphere and interesting history, and it is also a good place to set up your camp if you visit the rest of the region.
Curitiba hotels are found in most areas of the city, but are particularly numerous in the city center. Many hotels in Curitiba are in high-rise buildings -- an exciting option for people from smaller towns. Looking for where to stay in Curitiba on a budget?
