Viewpoint of the Reservoir

Miranda's lookouts provide spectacular views of the Arribes and the Natural Park do Douro International. This specific lookout is about 2 km from the city on the Ctra that descends to the International Biological Station and the dam/reservoir. There are beautiful panoramas of the Duero Canyon, the dam that retains its wild waters and the facilities created to produce hydropower. There's also an Interpretation Center Environmental Tourism and a handicraft shop with terrace-bar.
