In the center of Liverpool is a huge statue that overlooks the city. This is the Wellington Memorial. It is located next to St George's Hall and in front of the Walker Art Gallery. This is a very high column (about 30 or 40 meters I would say), and at the top is a statue of Wellington, the soldier who led the victorious English armies against Napoleon's French at Waterloo.
