When you're in the middle of a huge nature park, 1200 meters high, and have just been on a road with a downward slope of 30% via a Cuban rental car after a day of traveling and visiting places, your appetite wets itself in an inexplicable way. So when you get to a restaurant where they have a very limited menu of dishes, and all you need is to eat and recuperate, you just fill the stomach. Fortunately the Cubans know how to do more with less, so the dishes we ordered were simple but tasty, and we enjoyed them like meats prepared in a most luxurious restaurant. The-choice, that is, was based on a beet salad and peppers, spaghetti with tomato sauce and a steak stuffed with ham and cheese and then fried reobozado and accompanied by all frost Bucanero beers. We didn't have any dessert, but we enjoyed a delicious coffee, de la Sierra. Best of all, is the environment. It is the place from where the staircase that leads to the big stone and the road leading to Cafetal The Isabelica. The construction of the restaurant is a typical mountain lodge that you would traditionally find in Central Europe or in Switzerland, however this one is nestled right between the incredible exuberance of the Sierra Maestra mountains .. Well let me start by saying I was looking for a place to eat, I stayed at the Meliá Santiago. I asked the locals for a fun place to eat and have some drinks. Most of the answers were a place called Club Led. Sportsbar. This place is literally 1 block away from the Meliá Hotel. I asked the taxi driver if he knew where it was and his answer was "Yeahhhhh", lol.
