Le Fouquet's is the restaurant in the famous Hotel Majestic Cannes. It has a beautiful terrace which is the perfect place to have a good meal while enjoying beautiful views of the Croisette. Aside from the beautiful setting, the friendliness of the staff is also worth a mention. The food was carefully prepared and delicious, and the value for the money was good.
Glacier Vilfeu is an ice cream shop and bakery in Cannes that's famous throughout the city and popular with locals. We went there with family and friends to enjoy some very delicious pastries, giant meringues, and real hot dogs that will make you forget whatever else you have eaten! It is a small place, where teenagers, parents and grandparents go to eat out on the terrace. Go there before a movie or after a nice Sunday stroll on the Croisette.
If the glory of the famous Croisette is not for tea drinking, this pub is much more relaxed and authentic, and can be found on Rue d'Antibes, in the city of Cannes: In the Morrison Lounge. Its a great place for lovers of good beer to sit around square wooden tables and often overflow onto the sidewalk. They also play rock music until closing, which creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Astoux et Brun is a great place to eat if you want seafood and fish! For an appetizer, we had winkles with homemade mayonnaise and oysters, then a delicious whole-roasted fish and grilled prawns. The price is a bit higher than average but the food and service are unbeatable.
La Farigoule is a small restaurant on a quiet street near the Suquet. It's apparently one of the oldest restaurants in the city and serves simple and unpretentious food made from top quality ingredients. The prices are also very affordable, especially compared to a lot of other restaurants in the area. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus in a restaurant.
I've been a British expatriate in the city of Cannes since 2005 and to return to a taste from home, I regularly visit the restaurant La Galette Mara, where you can taste very good pancakes, with very tasty toppings. The atmosphere is really nice, and the waiters always have a big smile. You can enjoy a variety of sweet and savory crepes accompanied by a cider. I suggest the apple cinnamon pancakes for dessert; they will leave you speechless! After, take a good digestive walk on the Boulevard de la Croisette, Palm Beach.
Do you want to enjoy the best of Asian cuisine? You can go to Chinatowns fast food area, where this restaurant is located on the Carnot Avenue, near the heart of the city. The reception is very nice, and the service is really fast. No special decoration, its all very simple. The guests can enjoy a variety of dishes to eat in, or takeaway. A Special Mention for Bun Bo, it's a treat. Strongly recommended.
Cannes is known for the sun, the beach, and of course the films ... but for me, the best thing abut the city is this restaurant, Chez Vincent et Nicolas. This is a small restaurant with a terrace at the foot of Le Suquet, close to the old port. It serves delicious sausages, great mojitos, and a qide variety of wines. The food is happiness on a plate: a divinely scented chop with creamy mashed potatoes, delicious burgers, strawberry strudel to die for, and an amazing chocolate cake. For lunch or dinner, I absolutely love this place.
This is the ideal place to enjoy a nice lunch on the outdoor terrace in the sun, or just next to the southern beaches instead. Not a fine dining restaurant, but you can choose from several dishes of the day made from the freshest products. We ordered the Milanese veal chop (it was huge), and tartar steak with some fries. After, you can walk along the beach, and swim depending on the weather, or order a frozen dessert in many huts as an appetizer. In the short winter or bad weather, you can keep warm by the awning on the terrace. Remember to book or get there early, as it gets busy!
It is located in San Salvador, in the heart of the old town of Le Cannet, where Madeleine tea is a must if you are visiting the old city. Beyond the warm welcome, there are a variety of teas and many cakes, and the decor is really incredible. You feel like you're at your grandma's house, with gigantic sandwiches on Wednesday afternoon! Local residents have contributed to the decoration of the living room, giving their old furniture, porcelain decorations, and a few teapots, for these reasons and many others. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, with baroque decoration, the style of the Belle poque. On the walls is Christian Lacroix tapestry, and antique chandeliers hang from the ceiling. I highly recommend it!
Chic et Délice is a pleasant place to meet with family or friends to enjoy very delicious homemade tapas in the joy and good humor of the place. Latin music brings an exotic touch to the restaurant. Portions are full, the sangria is really delicious, the atmosphere is at the top, and meets all the conditions for spending a wonderful and memorable evening. The Head and the staff is very welcoming and simple, which usually becomes dinner!
It is located on a path perpendicular to the rue d \ 'Antibes, the Couby is a good place to go for a drink, and where you can dine in a truly friendly atmosphere, chaleureuxt, which completely changes the gold square bling bling . The decor is very original, and everything well researched, because everything is to make you feel at home. There are regular concerts with new talent. The guests can enjoy burgers, fish, salads, wok food, and tasty tapas.
This is a restaurant bar on the legendary Croisette, right in front of Martinez, one of the most prestigious in Cannes. A place for a drink on the terrace, and to enjoy the special atmosphere on the Croisette like the comings and goings of these cars, models, and even different celebrities. In addition, it is not uncommon to come across the famous international film festival in 72 Croisette. The service is very normal, as well as the dishes.. I recommend a drink on the terrace.
The Cocoon is a very nice bar, and has a restaurant where you can find many people like the neighborhood clientele. The rates are very affordable, and the food is of good quality. I love the hospitality and friendliness of the staff, who are always smiling and willing to help. Also, there is a tobacconist attached to the restaurant, that is open every day. There are also thematic karaoke nights held regularly, several times a month. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and unpretentious, compared with some institutions in Cannes.
Are you hungry? You can go Gust 'ami, which is a small bar/ restaurant, with very delicious cakes, Italian sandwiches, focaccia, etc. The owners are very welcoming, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is friendly. A little royal! Early in the morning, you can enjoy breakfast, later lunch, and then go for a nice walk in the Maritime Croisette.
Lost in a small alley leading from Meynadier street to Rue d 'Antibes, you'll find this small restaurant, where very delicious snacks, and a good falafel sandwich is made, and where a little further on, you can enjoy a little shadow or sun on the beach. Falafel is also known for it's abundant snacks after a pleasant evening, if you have the 5:00 a.m temptation. The authentic atmosphere is nice, and no problems!
Le 7 is definitely a place for gay-friendly partying until the early morning. I went once with my boyfriend and all his friends and I have to say that I had a blast! The atmosphere was friendly and joyful and you couldn't help be in a good mode. There is a wide variety of cocktails with or without alcohol, and they often host colorful theme parties.
