Restaurants in Stuttgart
Alte Kanzlei
(1)
The restaurant is in the Alte Kanzlei, and as its name suggests, it was the Old Chancellery, constructed between the years 1542 and 1544. It is in a privileged area, in Schiller Platz. I went there with my parents to taste the food of the zone. We ordered 3 different dishes to share and loved all of them. I recommend the maultaschen with potato salad and caramelized onions. They are one hundred percent homemade and are delicious. The portions are big and excellent presentation. Despite being in a historic building in the center of town, the price turned out to be cheap. The meal, drinks and coffees came out to 60 euros. In the summer, the restaurant allows customers to eat on the terrace, which is in the Old Town Square.

Arche
(1)
Arche is a cozy restaurant situated in a very central area of Stuttgart, next to the market square. During my stay in Stuttgart it was one of my favorite places to take visitors to show them Swabian food (from the Baden-Württemberg). I recommend trying the maultaschen with potato salad, and Spätzle with onions. The chef salad, though less traditional, is tasty. The best thing to drink is a nice cold beer. There are plenty to choose from. Yes, the barrel taste much better than the bottle. And to end the evening, I have no words for the vanilla ice cream with hot sauce made from blackberries .... Dinner is usually around 15 euros per person. The place has a terrace all year for customers to enjoy. The atmosphere is very familiar, whether you want to dine inside or out. The waiters and the restaurant owner were very helpful as well. The service is good.
Culinary Interest in Stuttgart
Stuttgart Wine Festival
Every year during the first week of September, this local wine fair takes place. The large area of vineyards in the region produce fruit that give excellent white wines, especially Riesling. You can also try the Trocken (dry wine), Halbtrocken (semi) and Süss (sweet). In addition to wine, there are a huge number of stalls serving typical southern German food. The décor imitates a medieval market. Cooks and waiters wear old suits. We tried the maultaschen with cheese and egg and the Spätzle with cabbage and sausage. It's worth visiting as it is so unique but is more expensive than in a restaurant. A wine and nibbles cost around 10 euros.
Restaurants in Tübingen
Neckarmüller
(1)
Taking a walk on the boats that cross the river Neckar we came across a festive multi-storey terrace on a hillside so we went there to rest. Neckarmuller The brewery is one of the most famous and traditional of Tübingen as it has over 200 years of history. In it we fin traditional Swabian cuisine, it's called the area around Tübingen (Swabian Mountains). A good pretzel could not pass by!. We ordered a la carte dishes, and some tasty beers . THe menu is spectacular, as the brewery is developed. WHen you enter you can see a still and the whole inside of the old house, but if you go in summer, it is best to sit on the terrace and enjoy the river views and animation of this student city. Tübingen has exceeded all my expectations of romantic Germany, a city to enjoy calmly because it is all a pretty picture of different colors and shades, so too, is the brewery Neckarmuller ... enjoy! Ahhh and once again, Germany surprised us with its prices ..., I leave a sample menu, and in Castilian!, Going to break down stereotypes of how expensive it is in Germany!

Gaststätte Columbus
Columbus is a restaurant located within the university campus in Vaihingen. The name is tribute to Christopher Columbus. In fact all the dishes, apart from having names related to the discovery of America, are adorned with mini Spanish flags. Saturdays and Sundays have a special 2x1 offer from 10pm-11pm, excluding drinks. Saturday is also burger day and the offer is extended to include more dishes. There are lots of dishes. Come, ye will not leave hungry. The hamburgers are highly recommended, especially the Sanchez, with cheese and egg. All come with potatoes, which can come normal or rustic (Deluxe). One of my favorite salads is the Madeira, with Mozarella sticks grated. And for dessert, Apfelstrudel (sort of apple pie with puff pastry served warm with vanilla ice cream above) mmmmm .... Take advantage of the offer because you can dine very well for 8 euros. On weekends there's also a delicious buffet lunch (brunch) until 3 in the afternoon for 10 euros. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining. It's best to book beforehand for large groups.
Restaurants in Ulm
Donauturm
SPANISH: The Danube Tower is 252m, is one of the 75 tallest towers in the world. It took 18 months to constructed and opened in the year 1964. It is on the Danube Park. On the outside it looks like our Lollipop Madrid, but inside there is a restaurant that rotates. You can walk up the 775 stairs, or take the elevator that takes you to the lookout and it only takes 35 seconds. The restaurant is not expensive, though Vienna is not a cheap city. We ate there, but I guess with 360 º views from the lookout it is enough.

Sakura
This restaurant is a sushi buffet located in central Stuttgart. Inside, the tables are located in the middle and they surround conveyor belts that carry the food in individual bowls. Each one is served directly from the table. Opposite you'll find the kitchen table, separated by a window that lets you see the process of preparing the food. Although they primarily serve sushi, you can also eat vegetables and some salad there. For dessert they have fresh fruit cut into pieces, and fortune cookies. The food was good and although our Japanese friend recommended it to us, it wasn't the best sushi I've ever eaten. However, considering the price (17 euros per person not including drinks) I would also recommend.

Cafés in Freiburg im Breisgau
Jos Fritz Café
Freiburg, gateway to the Black Forest, is a charming university town in southern Germany. In Freiburg there are many places to eat and have a drink, but Jos Fristz Café is the kind of place where you can do everything: it has concert posters on the walls, interesting people and music for every moment of the day. It has a small but delicious menu. The dishes are plentiful, but there are also sandwiches and snacks to munch on. The staff are helpful and speak English. Perfect for a breakfast, lunch or simply to stop for a coffee or an Alsatian wine.
