Restaurants in Krakow
Bar Mleczny Pod Temida
(7)
We had heard of Polish milk bars, so when we were visiting Krakow we found them. It is a milk bar, kind of like a diner, where you order what you want and the amount you want, and you pay for what you get. What surprised me is the speed with which they serve you and the quality of food. It's typical Polish food at good prices.

Chimera

Open from 9:00 a.m. to 10.00 pm, the Chimera Salad Bar is a salad buffet with hot vegetarian dishes, like soup, and some cold plates, a few with meat, where you pay by the size of dish choose, either a portion, a small plate, or a large plate. The small costs about 3 € and the larger, more than 4 €, and you get the option to "fill-up" by choosing 4 servings (small) or 7 servings (large) of the buffet. Also ordering a beverage can add a couple of euros to the final price. I recommend any of the fruit juices like currant, green grape, or mango. It's a bargain, considering that the place is very cozy and partially covered by garden vines, with tables covered by floral tablecloths, and a rustic atmosphere in a European city centre. It is frequented equally by locals and tourists, and the waitresses ve speak English are very friendly. In the basement there is the a la carte restaurant, with exposed stone and modern décor. We did not get to try it, but we wanted to.

Kurna Chata

It was thanks to a Polish friend ve lives in the city that I discovered this place. The food is of high quality and is well price. They have an extensive menu of Polish dishes. The dishes you get are well served (as seen in photo). The decoration is rustic and all wood but there is one weakness - the toilets need better maintenance.
Culinary Interest in Zakopane
"Oscypek", Cheese of the Tatras
(3)
Oscypek cheese is typical in the Tatras mountains. It´s a salty goat cheese and there is another option that is also mixed with cow milk. It´s smoked and infused with rustic motifs and although you can find it vacuum-wrapped in every supermarket in the country, it comes from the mountains and that is where you can buy and eat it in its most natural state. It comes in different sizes and can be eaten hot with jam for just under 1 euro. It´s a shame that I don´t live closer and I can´t have it at home because it´s delicious! At the foot of the mountains there is also a market where you can find typical products like elos cheese. You can ask for a sample and buy it if you like it. You can not go to Zakopane without trying it!

Klub Krakowska Koliba

Eating in Poland is significantly cheaper than in Spain, but in the center of Krakow you many restaurants and some are quite posh. So if you want something cheaper (and still great), it's better to walk a little in the direction of Kazimierz, but without crossing the yard. It was there that I found this place with a grill bar upstairs and a pub downstairs. There are only 5 tables, but below is much bigger and you can also eat there. I had sausage and wow! Huge and very good! potatoes, salad ... I remember it was around € 5 and really filled me up!

Hard Rock Cafe Krakow

Krakow already has Hard Rock Cafe! As the tourist city that it is, it can't miss one! So in Poland we can find the Hard Rock Warsaw and this. It is situated in the middle of Market Square, next to the Church of Santa Maria. And they have put inside one of the buildings in the square, keeping it, no breaks at all the aesthetics. It has several floors and the store just entered. The star shirt has the two towers of the Church on the back from which a trumpet plays every hour.

Mleczarnia

In Wroclaw you can find plenty of restaurants, but if we were wanting a place to eat traditional Polish food with typical décor, this was our site! It is very centrally located and fairly priced, we enjoyed a nice meal or tea with Polish cake (all delicious) I really liked the décor, it was very old!
Cafés in Warsaw
Bread and Butter
Inside the Złote Tarasy mall, we can find a lot of cafes and shops, although they have more charm found in the -1 floor, down the stairs that are next to the Hard Rock Café. Just open the glass doors and we are are in the cafeteria Bread and Butter, which is not very large but it is very cute, and it is somewhere to have a coffee, a cake, a sandwich, but with a special touch, like cheese with jam and rucula. I ate an apple cake and it was very good, they even give it to you in a cute box!

Cafe Fusy

In the city of Ostroleka, near Warsaw, you will find this coffee shop. It is very close to the monastery, in the heart of the city. My friend goes there quite often, so the owner treated us great, it had gigantic comfortable couches, the room has soft lighting which gives an air of a pub, and there were cakes, teas and coffees. And that cake was so tasty! and served with them, the best vanilla ice cream I've ever eaten. And the presentation was great.

Zielona Weranda

When we were walking through the old town of Poznan my girlfriend suggested we have a coffee and I encourage everyone who passes by this place to stop in. It is a charming place and the treatment of working is very friendly. If you like tea or coffee have a total of about 50 choices. I pass a picture. A greeting travelers.
Restaurants in Olsztyn
Przystan Restaurant
It is the most famous restaurant in Olsztyn, since this right next to the biggest lake in the city, on the shore and the view is very good, in both winter and summer. Although it is best to go in summer or spring, since you can go to the terrace, you can the sun and the swans that come to eat. The menu is available in both Polish and English, the price is very good, the service and the food exquisite, and they specialize in fish dishes that are great! Not in the heart of town and although you can get the bus, I recommend taking a taxi.

This is a cafe in the city center that you can find in malls. It is very similar to Starbucks cafes in that there are various sizes, muffins, sandwiches, some health food, etc ... if you like Starbucks you will like this too, especially for its price.
Restaurants in Olsztyn
Sopas Restaurant
If you are looking for typical Polish home cooking this is your restaurant! It is on a side street on the way to the old library, the street where the store is, to the right, towards the cathedral. It is very small with only about 4-5 tables and when it is very busy people often share tables. It specializes in soups, pierogi and crêpes, all homemade and tasty, and cheap! There are over 6 types of soups, and my favorite is the cheese soup, it is great! It has a glass window that faces the street with motifs of the season or the holiday that corresponds. It is an ideal place to eat Polish food.
Cafés in Olsztyn
Cafeteria & Cine Awangarda
This cafe has a lot of charm! It's a cafe that was a former cinema, so there is only 1 room and the billboard movies are less commercial, but watching a movie in that theater is nice. It has 3 rooms, the 1st is painted off-white with flowers, romantic, wooden tables and chairs and windows facing the street and you can see the library, another environment in a chill style showing a garden, with plants on the wall as if it were outside and the last and best is next to the box office cinema, the seats are wooden cinema seats and although they are not cozy sitting in them is really something, the atmosphere is amazing, with pictures of black and white players, a former Radio ... It's my favorite coffee shop and I went there every week when I was living in Olsztyn, I loved and I miss it. The menu is only in Polish, but had a lot of variety of teas and coffees, each with the name of a movie; their homemade cakes, a delight , like the tortillas. It is without doubt the best coffee shop in Olsztyn.
Restaurants in Warsaw
Menora
We wanted to try something different because we'd already eaten enough Polish food, and our tour guide in Warsaw told us about this Jewish restaurant. It took no effort at all to find it because it's in an old building that's surrounded by new farms. As the guide pointed out, the place was a little tacky, and one of the terraces was actually fake. The dishes, which are mostly lamb are somewhat dry, but we also ordered some bread and delicious fish balls. But the best part was the dessert, made of macaroni with bread and raisins, delicious!!
Cafés in Sopot
Cafe del Arte
Spanish Cafe in Sopot! Curious cafe I found in the center of Sopot, is an Art Gallery Cafe. Everything that is around you is sold. The tables, chairs, mirrors, sofas, sculptures ... But this is not the most curious thing about this cafe, the most striking thing for me was that the cafe is Spanish. Everything in the shop is written in Spanish, from the descriptions of the products to the menu.
Restaurants in Lublin
Judio Mandragora Restaurant
This restaurant is in the old heart of Lublin, which before World War II was the Jewish quarter. The place is lovely, super cozy, and it has a lot of charm! Decorated with pictures of Jewish families, chandeliers and painted walls and excellent service! Also you can buy books of Jewish thematic, history, stories, legends, traditions ... you can also buy candles, plates and other decorations and jewelry. And typical Jewish food. I really enjoyed it! Lublin would only go there!
Restaurants in Warsaw
Hard Rock Cafe Warsaw
The central train station is in front of that mall called [poi = 576 501] Złote Tarasy [/ poi] and there, at the exit, we can see the big Hard Rock Cafe guitar. The restaurant is like the rest of the ones in this chain, it also has a bar and of course, the store. The staff is very friendly and they all speak English. Here you can find the generic Hard Rock shirts with the Warsaw logo on them.
