Casa Verde
It's construction dates from the end of the 19th century. It has a Brazilian style that's notable for the emerald green tiles on its exterior facade, hence its name. The mansion is located in one of the main squares of Alto Minho, known as "Villa de las Artes", and is just meters from the [poi = 117985] Matriz Church [/ poi]. It has three floors: ground, first and attic. At the top, in the centre of the building, there is a figure of a Roman warrior, and under this, there is a large stone shield. Behind the house, there are some lovely gardens, which are still under renovation.

Monument to the Memory
On a fine day, I got to fisit this great historical monument and take these nice photos. It is located located right next to the beautiful church of San Cipriano matrix. It is kind of an obelisk from the nineteenth century, during the Peninsular War commemoration, as is stated on the same plate-tribute. The monument to the "Memoria! Was built one hundred years after the pretext of celebrating the centenary, so remember to defend the lands of Minho and in particular the role of the people, ie Vila Nova de CERVEIRA, in defense of the border. Keep in mind that it is a northern town.

Navigations, the name in English, is a metal sculpture on the banks of the river Miño, in the Portuguese town of Vilanova de Cerveira, where the park [poi = 426171] O Catelinho [/ poi] starts. The popular artist José Rodriguez created this great monument in 1989. He also designed the beautiful sculpture of [poi = 426091] Agnes Black [/ poi], which is located in the town of Melgaço. He is the most renowned artist in northern Portugal. The old convent of Sampaio is also filled with art, and houses some of Jose Rodriguez's work, the sculptor of many outdoor sculptures.
