These waterfalls are 70 meters high and carry beauty in every drop of water and you can not stop watching them. The arrival is spectacular, they suddenly appear among the foliage, and you can swim around the waterfall, it's fun trying to get under and can hurt, but it is a good feeling. The Katihawasan Falls are 70 meters high and are a stunning beauty in every drop which doesn´t allow you to stop watching. The arrival is spectacular as you first catch a glimpse between the leaves. You can swim around the falls, it's fun trying to get under (they make a front of air at the surface of the water which makes it difficult to approach). Witness the natural beauty of the Philippines in an unexpected place at Balite Falls. I was told this area was supposed to be developed into a tourist destination, but it has since been abandoned so there aren’t any amenities around – no bathroom, no sinks, etc. But that’s the beauty of it: you’ll really get to be one with nature here. There are some wooden huts on site and an old building. It’s a nice place to take a nature walk and play around a bit in the water, which is relatively clean. (Definitely cleaner than ocean water at Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles.) The falls are on the small side, but it’s still a pleasant sight. Great to check out if you want to go off the beaten path and see something that’s not so touristy.
